“Apice Base Altezza Peso Forma Sostanza” (translated: apex base height weight shape substance) is the first (almost) Long Play - 7 instrumental tracks for about 25 minutes - by the Italian multi-instrumentalist Vincenzo Canoro, to be released on April 3, 2020 on all major streaming platforms. Photograph of a long (self) production phase, it condenses - with an often avowedly primordial approach - alternative rock roots with electronic drives (or ambitions), moving from guitar to synthesizer, from percussion to coffee maker, from digital realm to food kingdom.
Entirely recorded and elaborated in his home-studio, lo-fi dressed, but with an "artisan" flavor, it is a point of arrival but not a point of no return.
If music is like scientific research, take it as a preliminary result of an ongoing study. So updates will follow.
